If you have information about a possible violation and you want to inform the Personal Data Protection Office, you can send us a notification via this page. To do so, you must first fill in the notification field and provide us with as much details as possible about the content, place and time of violation as well as about the alleged offender. When you send us a notification it is preferable that you indicate your contact details, so that we can get in touch with you if needed. However, if you wish to remain anonymous, fill in just one mandatory field. You can send us notification via our mobile app too.

Submit a complaint

If you believe that your personal data are processed unawlfully and you want The Personal Data Protection Service to address the violation, you can submit a complaint to our office at the addres: #7 Vachnadze Str, Tbilisi, and also electronically. To submit an electronic complaint, you may download a complaint template, fill it out, sign it and send a scanned version to the address: office@pdps.ge. The Personal Data Protection Office offers you an even more flexible opportunity: sign up in the Case Management System where you can submit a complaint, follow the process of hearing your complaint and receive comprehensive information - all in one virtual space.

The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia will have a representative in Brussels at the European Data Protection Supervisor's Office (EDPS) from 2024.

During the visit, the representative of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, Nikoloz Popiashvili, Head of the Office of the President, will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the European Data Protection Supervisor's best practices in data protection and privacy. Additionally, they will participate in meetings of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) and various activities led by the Secretary General. This includes engagement in events planned for the 20th anniversary of the European Data Protection Supervisor and participation in research activities related to the new regulation on artificial intelligence. These endeavors aim to facilitate knowledge sharing and cooperation between authorities.

It is noteworthy that the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) granted observer status to the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia. This decision was made during the June 20 plenary session of the EDPB, in accordance with Rule 8.1 of the RoP. According to this rule, the Council has the authority to confer observer status upon a data protection supervisory authority from a non-member state of the European Union, provided two conditions are met: firstly, the data protection supervisory authority operates with complete independence, and secondly, it is based in a non-member state that, in its bid to join the European Union, has committed to aligning its national data protection legislation fully with the regulatory rules enforced within the European Union.
