If you have information about a possible violation and you want to inform the Personal Data Protection Office, you can send us a notification via this page. To do so, you must first fill in the notification field and provide us with as much details as possible about the content, place and time of violation as well as about the alleged offender. When you send us a notification it is preferable that you indicate your contact details, so that we can get in touch with you if needed. However, if you wish to remain anonymous, fill in just one mandatory field. You can send us notification via our mobile app too.

Submit a complaint

If you believe that your personal data are processed unawlfully and you want The Personal Data Protection Service to address the violation, you can submit a complaint to our office at the addres: #7 Vachnadze Str, Tbilisi, and also electronically. To submit an electronic complaint, you may download a complaint template, fill it out, sign it and send a scanned version to the address: office@pdps.ge. The Personal Data Protection Office offers you an even more flexible opportunity: sign up in the Case Management System where you can submit a complaint, follow the process of hearing your complaint and receive comprehensive information - all in one virtual space.

The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia informed representatives of law enforcement bodies about the updates outlined in the Law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection”.

In order to get acquainted with the changes stipulated by the New Law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection”, the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia continues a series of meetings called "Talks on the new law".

This time, a meeting was held with representatives of law enforcement bodies, organized by the EU project - "Support to External Security Sector Oversight in Georgia." The event was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili, the President of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, Agata Nieboj, the representative of the European Union in Georgia and head of the human rights, justice, and internal affairs team, and was opened by Johan Holmes, the representative of the European Union project.

Head of The Law Enforcement Sector Oversight Department of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, Ia Kifiani, introduced the audience to the updates outlined in the Law of Georgia "On Personal Data Protection" in detail. She specifically focused on the necessary measures for implementing the new law within law enforcement bodies. 

EU expert Jekaterina Macuka discussed the best practices of EU countries on personal data protection in the security sector.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to a panel discussion. Johnny Choniadze, Deputy Head of The Law Enforcement Sector Oversight Department of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, addressed important topics such as the criteria for determining an incident that poses a significant threat to basic human rights and freedoms, as well as the procedure for Breach Notification to the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia.

The participants of the meeting exchanged opinions on the existing challenges and ways to address them in terms of personal data protection in the security sector, drawing on the experiences of both Georgia and Latvia.

It should be noted that the EU project - "Support To External Security Sector Oversight In Georgia," among other objectives, aims to strengthen personal data protection in law enforcement agencies. The workshops will continue, training programs and information materials are planned to be developed, in order to support the creation of a mechanism for sharing the experience of the personal data protection supervisory authorities of the EU member states.
