To do so, you must first fill in the notification field and provide us with as much details as possible about the content, place and time of violation as well as about the alleged offender. When you send us a notification it is preferable that you indicate your contact details, so that we can get in touch with you if needed. However, if you wish to remain anonymous, fill in just one mandatory field. You can send us notification via our mobile app too.

Submit a complaint

If you believe that your personal data are processed unawlfully and you want The Personal Data Protection Service to address the violation, you can submit a complaint to our office at the addres: #7 Vachnadze Str, Tbilisi, and also electronically. To submit an electronic complaint, you may download a complaint template, fill it out, sign it and send a scanned version to the address: office@pdps.ge. Inspector’s Office Participates in an Information Campaign Against Cybercrime

July 5, 2016. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia launched information campaign against cybercrime. The Office of Personal Data Protection Inspector participates in it.

Tamar Kaldani, the Personal Data Protection Inspector, addressed public at the official launching ceremony of the campaign at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In her speech, she stressed the importance of joint efforts of the public and private sectors to tackle cybercrime and raise public awareness on this issue.

Kaldani believes that cybercrime is a global challenge as well as an important issue for Georgia in conditions of extended electronic transmissions, usage of social networks and other means of electronic communication. Public awareness on data security and preventive measures, however, remains low. The cybercrime can cause not only material damage but mental harm as well. According to the researches damage caused by cybercrime will exceed 2 trillion by 2019. It should be noted that one and a half million personal data is lost or stolen daily, unfortunately data of Georgian citizens are included in these figures.

Giorgi Mghebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, has come up with an initiative to organize a cybercrime awareness week once per year, because he believes the best way to fight against this kind of crime is prevention and raising public awareness.

“It is essential for citizens to have information on where, how and who shall be addressed in case of a cybercrime and if their personal data are processed illegally. Therefore, the Personal Data Protection Inspector joins the Ministry of Internal Affairs' campaign against cybercrime, aiming to reduce and prevent this kind of crime as much as possible,” Kaldani said.
