If you have information about a possible violation and you want to inform the Personal Data Protection Office, you can send us a notification via this page. To do so, you must first fill in the notification field and provide us with as much details as possible about the content, place and time of violation as well as about the alleged offender. When you send us a notification it is preferable that you indicate your contact details, so that we can get in touch with you if needed. However, if you wish to remain anonymous, fill in just one mandatory field. You can send us notification via our mobile app too.

Submit a complaint

If you believe that your personal data are processed unawlfully and you want The Personal Data Protection Service to address the violation, you can submit a complaint to our office at the addres: #7 Vachnadze Str, Tbilisi, and also electronically. To submit an electronic complaint, you may download a complaint template, fill it out, sign it and send a scanned version to the address: office@pdps.ge. The Personal Data Protection Office offers you an even more flexible opportunity: sign up in the Case Management System where you can submit a complaint, follow the process of hearing your complaint and receive comprehensive information - all in one virtual space.

Council of Europe Discusses new Standards of Data Protection

Tamar Kaldani, the Personal Data Protection Inspector of Georgia, participated in the 33rd plenary meeting of the consultative committee of the Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data (T-PD). The meeting started on June 29 and lasted until July 1, 2016 in Strasbourg, France.

The draft amending Protocol to Convention 108 and the draft explanatory report to the modernized Convention were overviewed at the meeting. Besides, following draft documents were also discussed: Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Personal Data in the World of Big Data; the Use of Personal Data in the Police Sector; Draft Opinion on the Data protection implications of the processing of the Passenger Name Records and Guiding Principles on the Protection of Privacy in Media Coverage. Participants of the meeting have opportunity to express their opinion related to draft documents.

At the Plenary meeting, participants discussed major developments in the field of data protection as well as the report of the Council of Europe's Data Protection Commissioner.

Meanwhile, the members of the bureau of the Consultative Committee were elected within the scope of the T-PD meeting on July 1. Personal Data Protection Inspector of Georgia, Tamar Kaldani, was elected as a member of the T-PD bureau by Committee members.

Membership of the T-PD Bureau is international recognition for the Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector of Georgia, as well as a strong international platform. It is also one more opportunity for Georgia to participate in the process of creating and developing European rules in the field of personal data protection.

The Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector has been represented in the T-PD bureau since 2014.
