If you have information about a possible violation and you want to inform the Personal Data Protection Office, you can send us a notification via this page. To do so, you must first fill in the notification field and provide us with as much details as possible about the content, place and time of violation as well as about the alleged offender. When you send us a notification it is preferable that you indicate your contact details, so that we can get in touch with you if needed. Submit a complaint

If you believe that your personal data are processed unawlfully and you want The Personal Data Protection Service to address the violation, you can submit a complaint to our office at the addres: #7 Vachnadze Str, Tbilisi, and also electronically. To submit an electronic complaint, you may download a complaint template, fill it out, sign it and send a scanned version to the address: office@pdps.ge. Discussion of the legislative amendments with the representatives of the non-governmental organizations

Personal Data Protection Inspector Mrs. Tamar Kaldani and Deputy Inspector, Mr. Nikoloz Bregvadze met the representatives of the non-governmental organizations on September 21, 2015 and discussed the legislative amendments prepared in order improve data protection legislation and harmonize it to the European standards.

The draft legal amendments include changes to the ten different legal acts. Several important changes are proposed to the Georgian Law on the Personal Data Protection, such as enlargement of the scope of the law; specific regulation of the audio recording and audio monitoring; more precise definition of the legal grounds for the processing of the sensitive data and for the trans-border data flows and etc.

According to the draft legal amendments increasing of the fines is foreseen, in the cases when data breach is related to more than 100 data subjects.

The proposals drafted by the Inspector also cover issues of direct marketing. Creating of the single electronic platform is suggested, correspondingly any person conducting direct marketing will be obliged to register at this platform and citizens will have opportunity to opt-out from the direct marketing massages through this web- portal.

“There are areas of the processing not covered by the data protection legislation of Georgia; therefore we would like to enlarge the scope of the law. Besides, several types of data processing, such as audio monitoring, are not appropriately regulated and are problematic, accordingly we want all these issues to be covered by law” - mentioned Personal Data Protection Inspector.

The draft legislative amendments will be also discussed with the representatives of the private organizations and members of Parliament.
